In Depth Look

Wow! I am super excited to have this website up and running.

I wanted to give a little more of an in depth look into my life and business. As I mentioned, I'm a 20-something with a precious little boy. He is for sure my number one motivator and the reason I am always trying to expand. I'm currently an assistant manager at a men's salon on the south side of Brookfield, Wisconsin and I absolutely love it! However, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for working on weddings and special events.

I started an apprenticeship at a local salon the day after I turned 18, which was basically forever ago. I was there for about six months and realized I just wasn't ready, especially when I was working full time at the salon and full time at a local custard shop. What 18 year old wants to work 80+ hours a week? I certainly didn't. So I gave up. A few years later, when Bryce was about 2, I decided to take a step toward pursuing my dreams of finally getting licensed. I visited a school nearby and immediately fell in love. Everyone was so welcoming. I decided to take a chance and enrolled that day for the next session starting up.

School was a wonderful experience, full of lots of laughs and a few tears. There were times that I doubted myself and felt like I wasn't good enough, but my instructors were always there to pick up the pieces and help guide me. I will always be really grateful for them - thanks, guys! (Special shout out to Danya for always letting me come in your office crying over something stupid and leaving in tears from laughter) It was a long year of learning, but I was very well prepared for anything life behind the chair would throw at me.

Now, in the last year or two, I've really started to dive into the wedding world. I love being able to work with brides and their bridesmaids and help them feel absolutely beautiful for their special day. Who doesn't want to feel special and beautiful, especially when they are preparing to marry the person of their dreams?
